The Desafio 24h organizers are very proud of the recent results obtained at the 2009 RAAM.
Daniela Genovesi, Desafio 24h 2008 first place, won the most grueling sport event in the world, making history for the Brazilian cycling. Daniela qualified for RAAM last year at the Desafio 24h, and entered the first RAAM of her life. The ultra athlete repeated the amazing performance she did in Fortaleza buy setting her own pace and keeping the spirit high. Slowly she gained the lead, keeping it until the finish line.
Claudio, now a RAAM veteran, was the first South American who finished tha RAAM 2 years ago. Last year at Desafio 24h he had not a quite race, but he kept on motivated to start the RAAM for his second time. And he did, and completed improving his time, setting a Brazilian best time.
Congratulations RAAMers, you deserve it!

Desafio 24h 2009 canceled

Unfortunately the race organizers decided last week that the Desafio 24h 2009 will be canceled.
Due to sponsorship difficulties they decided to avoid downgrading the event. In spite of the effort that was made, this was the best decision.
We are already receiving a lot of e-mails from all over asking for news on this years only Latin America RAAM qualifier. We kindly appreciate and thank all the ultra cyclists interested.
You can be sure that we are already working on a new date for 2010, maybe even on the first semester.
We'll keep you updated as soon as the news develop.
We wish a good and safe training and competition to you all.

Official Dvd released

The Desafio 24h 2008 official Dvd is will be released wednesday, the 22nd.
A 20 minutes coverage of the fastest and most disputed Desafio ever.
